The Latin phrase ex nihilo means "out of nothing". It often appears in conjunction with the concept of creation, as in creatio ex nihilo, meaning "creation out of nothing" — chiefly in philosophical or theological contexts, but also occurs in other fields. The usage is justifiable in the context of this blog being that I will attempt to create SOMETHING of interest and that truly it will be "out of nothing" since nothing is my default cognitive state.
The purpose of this blog is twofold. First and foremost is that I would like to earn an A in my art 108 class. Secondly, I think it important that I have a creative outlet to share with friends who might be interested in my artistic ideas.
So… with all formalities out of the way, I hope you enjoy all that is The Thought Jambalaya Extravaganza!
P.S. -
I do have to give a shout out to my good friend Ellen Haffner for her influence in the title of this blog. Ellen, if you're reading this then you KNOW what I’m talking about.
